Some huge boxes of yarn have come in over the last couple of days, as well as other things. My sister is helping me price everything, and I am beginning to put the displays together. Don (my brother-in-law) has finished the cabinet, the “cubes,” the “rack,” and is installing the lights. Things are starting to come together! I am still waiting for a couple of orders, but it is exciting to see stuff come in. Looks like we will be on target for opening May 12! I had a slight hope to open on this Saturday, but it doesn’t look like we will be quite ready for that.
We have a phone number at the shop–812.988.0336 (it is our old home number). To get this accomplished, I have spent many hours on the phone with AT&T this week–why can’t a simple job be “simple?” But finally, everything is connected and we are ready for the credit card machine (which comes this week).
Unfortunately, we will be opening without Paul’s pottery, because he is completing a big order for Wesleyan Women. But yesterday he reported that he had thrown his last (1000th) communion cup! So, he will be firing and glazing them soon, and throwing some other things that they have ordered.
This morning, we stop for Friday morning donuts, and get back to work!
